We bought a house just north of Auckland on a basically bare plot of land surrounded by empty paddocks. When we started our garden projects we found that there was a lack of products which worked as well as we would have liked. For example when we began planting hundreds of native trees around our property we found that we needed secure tree strapping and stakes that would not rot and were U.V. resistant. Our property is quite windy and therefore our trees needed to be well supported in order to allow them to get established. Most strapping we tried rotted and broke after not even one season. We knew that plastics can be very durable outdoors and that there was recycled material available that was strong and flexible. Hence tree straps, wood plastic and plastic stakes were conceived and have now been tested successfully with our trees and garden plants.

This was a beginning of a long journey of helping plants grow using sustainable recycled resources.
